My Top 4 Ways to Waste Time on the Internet

Posted on July 9th, 2008 by Urbain

Every once in awhile, I have brain fog and am completely unmotivated. I really don’t feel like working or doing anything productive. Doing stupid stuff online can add some humor into the day or at least create a diversion. Here’s my “Top 4 List” of absolutely useless but entertaining stuff you can do on the Internet. Depending on how much time you have to waste, these online resources will definitely change the tone of your day. Excuses for wasting time are included!

  • Time Waster No. 1 – One or Two Minutes – Ask some stupid questions and get answers from the Magic 8 Ball. Benefits/excuses: Maybe one of the answers will be right, solving a big dilemma.
  • Time Waster No. 2 – Two or Three MinutesGross out your friends and colleagues by sending them farts. Takes about 10 seconds to create the fart; looking up everyone’s email is the time-consuming part. Benefits/excuses: Can’t think of any.
  • Time Waster No. 3 – Five Minutes or More – Play games on iWon. My personal favorite is “Collapse.” If you’re on a roll or in a competitive spirit, plan on wasting at least half an hour. Benefits/excuses: You might win some money, or at least improve your motor skills.
  • Time Waster No. 4 – Possibly Hours – Pretend that you’re a time traveler, alien, or ascended master and post some dire predictions about earth changes or political mayhem. You’ll get tons of responses. Sign up as all kinds of people, submit comments and different predictions, and have fun. Benefits/excuses: You’ll sharpen your creative skills and people might think you’re a guru.

Can't stop laughing with Time Waster No. 4! That will really scare some superstitious countries into their version of Defcon 4! I heard some Third World country losing some sleep over some Brazilian fortune-teller's prediction of a really huge earthquake that will devastate the land last July 18.

Yeah, I heard about that. There was even a school that postpone classes on that day in fear that the prediction may come true.

Half an hour on Collapse? Guys and gals, if that is what the time you think you'll spend on it. you will be dead wrong. I spend endless hours daily on it as I just can't make myself stop playing it. It is always "this is the last game for me" and yet my last game seems to be never forthcoming.

  5. Computer Repair Service Toronto

you can spend hours on the internet by helping people to repair their computers online and it’s really fun
