Which Political Party Had the First Website? (Hint - The Party of Principle)
The Internet has become a source of huge campaign donations. Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul broke all Republican records by raising over $6 million in one day. On the Democratic side, the grassroots organization ActBlue reports that it has raised close to $60 million online since 2004. Perhaps the most successful online campaign has been Obama’s. Barack Obama has raised nearly $200 million online, with a record $55 million raised in February alone, or nearly $2 million per day.
