Holy Politics, Batman! Check Out The Annointed Ones.

2008 September 9

If the halo count is right, Obama will surely win the election.

In terms of marketing and subliminal messages, I find the halos quite fascinating.  Back when Bush was popular, one would think the second coming was imminent.

And here comes Obama, the agent of change, who has already enjoyed a wealth of news photos depicting him with a halo:

McCain has a couple of halos, but nowhere near as colorful or prolific.  Plus, he’s depicted as somewhat stunned or confused when adorned with a halo.

Since McCain doesn’t get the cool halos like Obama, maybe they’ll make Sarah Palin look like the Madanna.

But so matter how glorious the halo, none of them can compete with Obama’s healing water.  Perhaps his halo burns so hot that it makes the mortals overheat.

Of course, we can’t forget the cross.  Bush wins in this department.

It’s no surprise that Libertarian Bob Barr does not get to have a halo or a cross.  But they do talk about his mustache a lot.
