The 1st Snow is Always the Prettiest
Yesterday, I finally finished “power blowing” and raking up the collection of pine needles and leaves that were piled up in the yard. I mulched them for the compost pile and finished up right before the sun went down. It was so windy out, I think I spent more time chasing leaves than getting them in one place.
My efforts were just in time. It started to rain after the sun set, and then it turned to snow. Last night’s snow was our first of the season in Arizona’s White Mountains. There’s something about the first snow, the way it clings to the trees, that is always so pretty and worthy of a holiday greeting card. I haven’t quite captured its full beauty because it is starting to melt, but enjoy. I’ll get back “on topic” tomorrow.
