Give it a little bit of time, Altis, and you should see a bit of a different. Also, you might want to set your website as your home page or visit it a couple of times and that will affect the Alexa rank, too.

Both badge (inside my blog site http://www.bestbuyidea.com/) and toolbar (in both IE and Firefox in my laptop) of Alexa are in place, but I don’t see the Alexa ranking improving, instead, the ranking is getting worse. I could only think that other sites are having more traffic than mine…. but I still wish these work out in my Best Buy And Idea blog….. Thanks for your kind sharing. Cheers!

I noticed the Alexa ranking of this blog went up to 225,528 … probably due to marketing and getting links, but it could also have to do with using Alexa’s webmaster tools and toolbar. I’ve always enjoyed their service.

If you want to cheat alexa a bit all you have to do is start offering alexa toolbar on your website. The more users who download alexa from you the more alexa toolbar hit you’ll have. It a basic flaw in alexa’s method. Why did you think they don’t show a rank for themselves? Because their algorithm relies on statistics of how many alexa users are on your site. And since those don’t hold up on their own site they would risk to be #1 or at least in the top 10.

I don’t know much about Alexa ranking,I have some blogs (lol) of no use,will try to develop them and try to get some traffic.
