It's one step closer to government control of your mind and thoughts, and not just our government. What about possible enemy use? The whole idea is nothing but frightening. The last one, where we would be "transhuman" and able to tap into a super-consciousness is intriguing to me, but the problem is that we need to get beyond the egotistical and controlling political and religious types who would like to see all of humanity conform to their way of thinking. I think the transhuman state can be achieved with focused meditation and isn't really dependent on technology.
