Over the last couple of weeks, people who were using all versions of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer were advised that there was a critical security flaw in the browser. What would happen is that their personal information, such as financial information, could be stolen if data was entered on a compromised website. It is estimated that there are at least 10,000 compromised websites.
A critical security patch was issued and if you are working with a Microsoft operating system, should have received the automatic upgrade notice. If not, you can get the critical patch at Microsoft’s download site.
There is apparently a new security issue regarding Microsoft’s SQL server. So far, it has not exploited online databases.
Make sure you regularly update your Microsoft software programs and your antivirus programs.
