There are several Internet marketers who I respect and follow; people who offer good sound advice for webmasters of all skill levels. One of my favorites is an unpretentious, down-to-earth guy with a fantastic voice named Mike Liebner who owns Article Underground. (Click the link for an inspiring video, and you’ll hear just how pleasant Mike’s voice is!)
In a recent email that Mike sent to Article Underground members, he wrote:
“… from my personal experience as a ‘web publisher’ as far as getting traffic and earning money from web sites, the month of JANUARY is always the BIGGEST of the year! February and March are often close behind! In fact the traffic and buying boom usually continues right up through April, which is often the SECOND BIGGEST month of the year!”
Based on my experience, Mike is absolutely, 100% right.
I have seen the exact same thing over the years.
The Best Time to Begin is Right Now.
The point? Don’t think you’ve lost out on opportunities because you did not have your site up and running before the Christmas rush. Work on your content and keep building it … starting today.
What’s more important, sitting for two hours in front of the television tonight or spending two hours with your Internet business? Believe me, the latter will surely give you a much better payoff and sense of accomplishment.
Even if you publish just one web page a week, that’s 52 pages that you will have by the end of the year that you did not have before. And those 52 pages might make you some extra money.

The easiest way to start building a content rich website and to fire up your creativity is to join a group such as Article Underground in which you will receive 400 articles a month to tweak and use as your own. These articles include fantastic, profit-making keywords and phrases.
Not only will you receive plenty of content to work with, but Mike periodically gives AU members spreadsheets with profitable keywords. He has highly trafficked blogs that you can use to announce your web pages (in order to get traffic and rank) and several members have contributed blogs that will also publish your promotional pieces and give you valuable back links. Article Underground has a wonderful forum where you can get advice as well as inspiration, and you will also have access to step-by-step video tutorials from Mike that will guide you toward earning money as a web publisher. The holidays are over and it’s time to get busy. Please don’t start second-guessing yourself and thinking you can’t do it, or that you’re not as good a writer or web designer as other webmasters.
The fact is, you are just as good as anyone else and just as worthy as the next person to succeed online.
If you don’t have web authoring software, set up a Wordpress blog. Be sure to use Jeff Johnson’s amazing SEO blog software (it’s free) and start posting. As Mary Kay Ash says,
“If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.“
