Blog posting is a daily thing for me … and it’s not just this blog. Some posts are news related, others are opinions, others are product reviews and others are tutorials. I’d say that I’m spending around 3-4 hours a day writing.
One of the biggest time consumers is finding graphics to go along with the content — and not ripping off images from other websites. I pay for quite a few of them from iStockPhoto, get some freebies from Microsoft, and find what I can off my hard drive.
Having a lot of graphic content available on my computer saves me a lot of time for both blogging and site design, and that’s why I jump on any free graphic download packages I see.
There’s a good graphics giveaway going on right now, but it will end at midnight. It’s aptly called the Graphics Giveaway and there are some pretty decent downloads there. Not only will you find images, but there are web 2.0 design elements, opt-in page designs, software packages and ebook covers that you can edit and use.
What makes this giveway a little bit different from the typical giveaway is that the users can vote on the quality of the download. From a member’s point of view, this is a really nice option that saves a lot of time. There’s nothing more aggravating than going through the trouble to download something, unzip it, and find it’s nothing but junk.
You can take advantage of this event until midnight, so if you have a few extra minutes today, start downloading. Although you might not use the graphics today or the next month, there will be a time that you will be looking for graphics and you’ll be glad you took the time to grab some free image packages while they were available.

Many thanks let me spice up my designs with these graphics.
Good list, you can never have too many sources for web buttons and web graphics. Thanks for doing the leg work and finding stuff that’s not junk!
I also spending atleast 4 hours in writing and but i waste my time in graphics but now problem is solved thanks for sharing a very good list.
This was a good giveaway event because they really stuck with a specific theme. Sometimes they can get overwhelming because there’s so much information to sort through. I liked the voting system, too.
This is great giveaway. Its hard to get such a freebie. I mean this is very useful stuff. All webmasters need such graphics for their website or blog to make it attractive and get attention of their visitors. Thanks for posting this. I really appreciate.

Have you heard of public-domain-photos.com and imageafter.com both have images that can be used for private and commercial use and could help for your blog
I haven’t been to either of those photo sites, Khaled. Good suggestion … Thanks!
I did not understand how exactly these pictures can be used without knowing if they are license free. Can we also distribute them freely?
If that were why is the giveaway ended by now? Nevertheless, I just missed the chance to see what was there inside.
Generally photo sharing sites like flickr.com etc., actually use the CC or Creative Commons licensing to show whether they are completely copyrighted, copyright-free but require attribution for use etc.
Is there anything needed for these photos? Anyway, I subscribed for notification if this chance comes again later.
Khaled, thanks for pointing to two free photo websites. I am collecting lot of them. Photos really enhance the quality of the article.
Great post, thanks! I’m into Web designing also, so this would come in handy.
Thanks for sharing this to us. Will surely want to download this free graphics. Heck, its for free.
