Last night, Jeff Johnson released the beta version of his SEO Wordpress blog plugin. I have been waiting for this one, as I think it will help a lot of people.
No Lengthy Installation Required.
The previous SEO blog software required a time-consuming istallation process because of all the plugins. Another problem with it was that if you already had a blog, it was hard to change your Wordpress blog into an SEO-optimized blog based on Jeff’s software. I was able to do it, but it took some work.
If you don’t have a Wordpress blog, you can do a quick install from Fantastico in your control panel or install it “from scratch” with FTP. For “fresh” Wordpress blogs and existing ones, all you have to do if you want to take advantage of Jeff’s traffic optimization is download the plugin from Jeff’s site, install it from within your Wordpress dashboard, and let it do its magic. The installation takes about a minute.
How the Plugin Works.
Once activated, you will see a new drop down menu in the left column of your dashboard called “Traffic Getting.”
The first link tells you what can be improved with your blog. This is what you will see when you click the “Traffic Getting” link — I hope your results are better than mine were!
The above screen shot is of the NotGuru blog, which was a simple Fantastico installation in which I added some plugins. The stats aren’t very good, are they?
You can change the description on your blog if you wish but more importantly, click the “plug ins” sub-menu and the SEO software will determine what plugins you should install to your blog. While many of these plugins are freely available at Wordpress, the ones that are installed with Jeff’s SEO software will be tweaked a bit.
The SEO software will generate a list of suggested plug-ins. Some of these were already installed on this blog. Just click “install plugin” where recommended and the plugin will install for you online – no FTP work required.
After installing the plugins (which are tweaked by the software), my optimization improved slightly, but it still was not very good … maybe a C+ grade.
As you can see from the above screenshots, once your plugins are all installed and activated, you can click the button that reads “APPLY BLOG TWEAKS.” This installs some of Jeff’s SEO tricks and tweaks into your blog within seconds.

The security had a low score because the plugin had not activated automatically. I also made some changes to the blog description. With these changes, the SEO score for NotGuru is now an A+!
Conclusion.
The above process took only a few minutes to complete. I have used the SEO blog software package before and know that it works. It is so effective that I was getting indexed within hours of installing a blog, without any promotion whatsoever.
I took a couple of screenshots from Awstats before installing the SEO plugin and will see how much of a difference there will be. My guess is that it will be significant.
You can get the free SEO blog plugin at Jeff’s site. It comes with a tutorial. Although the plugin is in the final beta testing, I didn’t run across any problems.
There will be a free version of the plug and a professional version, with even more blog tweaks. I do not know how much the professional version will cost.
If your blog traffic has been languishing, I strongly recommend that you install the SEO traffic plugin.

Great plugin. I like this plugin and i will download this. This plugin is really helpful for getting traffic for my blog.
It’s easy to install, too. Just make sure you check the permalinks … links to your existing pages might not work after you have installed the plugin.
Thank you a lot!
