Contrary to popular belief, you can use a cloth to clean your LCD screen on your laptop or desktop. Yes, these screens are sensitive, but if you clean it correctly, you won’t have a bunch of scratches on your screen.
Use a cotton cloth. An old t-shirt will do.
You can use plain distilled water, or mix your distilled water with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar. Avoid using cleaners with alcohol, ammonia or any strong solvents on LCD screens, as these products can burn out the pixelation display.
Apply the liquid to the cloth — don’t spray it directly onto your screen.
Gently wipe your screen clean. Avoid pressing really hard on the screen and avoid putting fingerprints on it.
If you rub gently in a circular motion with your cloth, any streaks should disappear.

Is this the firs blog post ever with a “circular motion” tag.
I think so….
I find water doesn’t work too well, I’ll try adding a little vinegar.
Vinegar does seem to help … with windows, too! The tags on this blog are autogenerated, so yes, it might be the first “circular motion” tag.
Hey,
thanks for that information. My Mac is always making problems with its screen being dirty. Thanks to your advice we have a good way to cleam the screen without scratching it.
