I like easy.
If I can let someone else do something complicated, I’m willing to pay a small fee instead of spending the time to do it myself. That’s why I love Web-Form Buddy.
The service allows you to easily and quickly offer your site visitors a secure contact form — that is, one that is encrypted and shows the little lock in their browser bar.
I know that you can set up your own SSL on your server, but it can be time consuming to set up your form correctly. I’ve done it before, but like I said, I like easy.
The Web-Form Buddy System makes it super easy to create a secure form. Use their template, modify it a bit, upload it to your website and you have a kicking form that has CAPTCHA (if you want), a rugged industry standard encryption process and an offsite database that you can check whenever and from wherever you want.
What is also cool about Web-Form Buddy’s secure forms is that not only can you collect “standard” types of form information such as names, comments and phone numbers, but you can accept credit card payments, PayPal payments, or WorldPay in your form. So let’s say you have some ebooks that you sell and you don’t want to go through an expensive shopping cart process. You can sell it via this form and set up a password-protected download page. Just let your buyer know the password in your autoresponder email.
Web-Form Buddy gives you a 14-day free trial so you can test out the system and see whether or not it is right for you. The trial is the full-featured version of the paid version. It costs $39.95 a year per domain to host your secure forms with Web-Buddy Forms — but worth it from my point of view.
Here’s a glimpse at the “back end” of the form management area. You can set up an unlimited number of forms for each domain. You have to pay for separate licenses for separate domains, although you can get nice discounts by creating “buddy” and “child” accounts. You will see your uploaded form at your “My Forms” screen. You can easily configure the data in your form online.
Here is a look at the configuration screen (I checked the “configure” link shown in the screen shot above). I blocked out the URL in the following image, but thought you’d like to see how easy it is to change around the form. As you can see, you can change a variety of form functions online without having to mess around with your HTML coding.
Here’s an option that I think is really sweet. Online, without having to do anything with your HTML code, Web-Buddy Forms lets you specify whether a visitor is required to fill out a form field, or if the field is optional.
Once your form is completed to your satisfaction, you can have form results emailed to up to five different email addresses. Of course, the data is also available in a secure, online database.
If you are looking for a secure delivery service and do not want to mess around with a lot of coding or expense, Web-Form Buddy may be the solution you are looking for. They don’t have an affiliate program, but I am recommending them anyway. I’ve used this service for a variety of websites and have been impressed with how easy and reliable it is. There are tutorials every step of the way for those who may not be familiar with forms.
