Keeping it simple, without the hype. PC tips and Internet advice for mom and pop businesses.
Yesterday, I received a phone call from a client in my offline business, whose son has just opened up a restaurant. They are desperate for someone they know to help build their website. They had gone with a stranger and ended up getting nothing that they asked for. Normally, I don’t build sites for others anymore but will make exceptions for people I know.
This one will be a challenge — something new for me — because it is a restaurant that will offer online ordering. I want this to be something that the restaurant owner can update easily without calling me all the time for maintenance and new pages.
Whenever I face a new type of scripting that I’ve never done before, the first place I go is Hot Scripts. Sure enough, there are a bunch of restaurant ordering system scripts over at Hot Scripts.
Hot Scripts has been around since 1998 and offers a wealth of free and paid offerings in numerous scripting languages. One of the key features that I like about the service is that users rate the scripts, so it gives me a good idea if an software offering is useful or will be a waste of time.
If you find similar challenges in building your sites, be sure to visit Hot Scripts. They have close to 45,000 different scripts and offerings available in:
- Ajax;
- PHP
- XML;
- ASP;
- Java;
- CGI and Perl;
- Javascript;
- and much more.
You will probably find exactly what it is that you need so that you can deliver your products or services to your customers easily and on the fly.
