Taking Government Creepiness to a New Level

Posted on August 4th, 2009 by Urbain

Personally, I don’t care for the surveillance cameras that seem to be popping up on every single street corner.  But Britain has topped the cake … They are now placing surveillance cameras in up to 20,000 private homes.

The purpose is allegedly to make sure that unstable families make an effort to change by having their children do homework, eat right and so on.  According to Wired News, “the kids and their families will be forced to sign ‘behavior contracts’ which will ’set out parents’ duties to ensure children behave and do their homework.’”

Part of me believes that this is not true.  I guess we’ll have to “stay tuned” to find out if it’s a hoax.

There is no way this could be true. It’s just so unbelievable. But if it is true, I am really worried about the future and the power that we seem to be handing over to the government. Talk about a distopia like we see in 1984. I hope this isn’t true. What a scary thought.

I would definitely watch out if this news is true.

    Let’s hope it’s not true!
