How to Easily Convert Your Media Format

Posted on December 7th, 2009 by Urbain

When you are making videos for YouTube, sometimes you’ll want to include media loops for background or simply some interesting movement to add to your presentation.  Perhaps your digital camera is storing your videos in .avi or another format that is incompatible with your video-production software.  In many video programs, you’ll need to convert .avi or other formats to QuickTime’s .mov format.  I found an excellent media converter that not only works great, it’s free.

Oxelon Media Converter will do that, and more.  Here’s a look at the screen shot.

Oxelon

In the screen shot above, if I wanted to change an .avi media file to .mov, I would select the .mov formats in the top sections, as shown.  Next, I would selct the file where I want my conversion stored, and then click Add Files.  You can add several files and the software will do a mass conversion.

This isn’t just limited to simple .avi format conversions.  The software will let you convert audio files, resize your videos and more.  The software is blazing fast.  For me, it’s taken a few seconds to convert files.

Frankly, I couldn’t believe that the software is free.  It works great.  If you’re making movies for YouTube, you might want to get a copy of Oxelon.  You’ll love it.

Want Amazon Products in Your Posts?

Posted on December 4th, 2009 by Urbain

For a limited time, you can get Adrian Ling’s brand new Wordpress plugin that inserts Adsense products into your posts.

The catch is that you need to buy a PLR package that Adrian is promoting.

Here’s what Adrian says about the plugin,

It’s different from the many free Amazon plugins out there.
This one allows you to select from the various Amazon
categories OR even drill down to specific product lines
in Amazon.

AND, it will automatically (and randomly) post to your
wordpress blog – not just display the items via javascript
(as most plugins do). This is important because each time
a post is made to your blog, it will notify the search
engines that your blog has new content.

The screenshot of the plugin shows its capabilities the best. I have not downloaded and installed the plugin because I have some other resources that I use, but I thought some of you might want to try it out. It will go on sale, probably next year, so the free download will not last long.

If You Need Links to Your Blog, Check This Out

Posted on December 3rd, 2009 by Urbain

If you need one-way links to your WordPress blog, there’s an easy way to do so.  By the end of the week, you’ll probably see some inbound links.

Head over to PostSwapper and sign up.  Getting one way links is as easy as installing a plugin into your blog.  That’s it!  Your blog will be sending links to other sites, and you’ll be receiving links from sites that you haven’t linked to.

Post Swapper is free while it is in beta, so the free offer is not going to last forever.

I’ve been using it and impressed with how easy it is to get links.  If your experience has been like mine, you’ll be receiving hundreds of links very quickly.  Add as many blogs as you wish!

Digg Digg Is A Much Better Networking Plugin

Posted on December 2nd, 2009 by Urbain

Sociable and the other social bookmarking plugins were an excellent feature for Wordpress, and I installed them on every blog I own.  However, I found that very few visitors used them.  Part of it, I think, is because the buttons were kind of small and newbies didn’t quite know that they could link an article with social networking.

Over at one of my busier and more controversial blogs, I decided to try the Digg Digg plugin, which has bigger buttons and uses only the social networks that most non-technical people are familiar with … i.e., Digg, Facebook, Yahoo, Redditt and a couple others, all of which are optional.  The difference has been amazing.  I will need to go in and add up numbers, but my initial guess is that Facebook promotions have gone up by at least 200%,  perhaps even more.

The plugin allows you to pick and chose the networks you want to promote, and then place your buttons wherever you want in your post, arrange them vertically or horizontally, and configure the buttons beyond the “standard” social networking features.

If you want easier, user friendly social interaction at your blog, I suggest you give Digg Digg a try.  Simply install it from your “add plugins” feature in Wordpress.

An example follows this post.

Create Content Rich Websites on the Fly

Posted on December 1st, 2009 by Urbain

The huge “Mage” launch has come and gone.  I’ve been using the plugin and the material from the “Adept” membership, which I’ve been happy with.  But when the huge launch came for the full blown software, I was impressed … but apprehensive.  It reminded me very much of the black hat days, when we were all building directories.  I personally prefer to have a bit more control over the quality of content in a site, but I have no doubt that the expert Mages are going to make a tidy sum of money while the “gettins’ good.”

I have tried J. P. Schoeffel’s “Site Profit Bot” software so I can add something quickly to domains that I’ve had for a few years and never used.  The software is easy to use and can generate some nice sites.  I have found that the CSS needs to be changed a bit so that you’re not stuck with just three templates, and the content that is pulled seems to be more on target when the niche is somewhat popular.  Obscure niches don’t pull much content.  J.P. makes an impressive amount of money with his SiteProfitBot sites.  Take a look.

I’m going to be writing more about this software and give a few examples.  So far, I’m impressed.  The videos show how easy it the software is to use.

Changing the Look and Adding Mage

Posted on October 30th, 2009 by Urbain

I will be changing the look of this site and using it to test the “Mage” affliate plug-in within the next day or two.  So if the site appears to be down or in maintenance mode, that’s what is happening.

From what I have seen, Mage looks like a promising method to help people make some money online.  Stay tuned for more info!

The Cellulite Case Study – Now No. 1

Posted on October 25th, 2009 by Urbain

When I started out this case study on October 4, 2009, I chose the domain “Cellulite Is” based on the keyword research.  I was hoping at that time that I could meet or beat the #3 position in Google.  The site went live on October 13.

Yesterday, we were at #10.

Today, we are at #1.

I’ve done article marketing and submitted “blurbs” to the network of blogs that I am setting up for you folks to use.  I am going to continue with the link building so this site will see some revenue and to target the same keyword phrase in quotes.  Currently, there have been a number of clicks to Amazon products, but no buys.

The Cellulite Case Study: 10/24/2009 Report

Posted on October 24th, 2009 by Urbain

When we started this out, the keyphrase I choose was “cellulite is.”  This morning, the page is now in Google’s top 10 search results for “cellulite is ” (without the quotes).  That’s out of 3,100,000 results.  I’d say that’s not too bad for a site that is not even a month old.

The Cellulite Case Study – 10/23/2009 Report

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by Urbain

As of today, there are no sales to report — but, items have been clicked.  It’s just a matter of time until we see this site make some money.

The last couple of days, I have been away on business.  However, I did manage to find some time to submit more articles through AMA, which has so far delivered about 14 unique links.  The Magic Article Submission software has yielded approximately 80 unique links so far.

The unique visitor count is at 170.

The site is finally getting some search engine traffic.

For some reason, there is still no page rank at Google, although pages are definitely getting indexed.  Google, Yahoo and MSN are now showing indexed pages.  Here’s the SEO Quake toolbar as of today:

The toolbar is usually slow in reporting Alexa.  The current rank is 1,599,148.

Finally, here’s a snapshot from my Amazon affiliate area.  Cellulite related products are getting clicked … there are no purchases yet.  In time, I think there will be some sales.  What this shows is that targeted traffic is coming in now.
