Oh my, the word “Guru” seems to be overused these days. This blog author, Urbain Beck, is NOT a guru and will never profess to be one!
Gurus come in many shapes and forms these days. In the Internet marketing world, “guru” sometimes refers to folks who are really, really good — or at least pretending to be really, really good — at making a ton of money online. You get at least one or two sales types of emails from them a day once you’re snagged into their lists.
More traditionally, “guru” has to do with a religious teacher. Buddhism, Hinduism and some new age types of spiritual movements refer to gurus.
